This event will feature a lively debate on the strategic importance of cislunar space in defense and national security operations. Join us for an engaging discussion led by experts in space, defense, and national security policy.

With more interests on the Moon, debates swirl around defense and national security of the Moon and cislunar space. For example, with differing views, one view argues that the United States Space Force should incorporate the Moon into doctrinal strategy and operational tactics. In opposition, some voices argue that focusing on the Moon and cislunar space distracts from the United States Space Force’s core priorities to protect the national interests of the United States in space, to provide space capabilities for joint operations, and importantly to keep space secure, stable, and accessible.

Can one piece of space be more vital and valuable to defense and national security than another area of space? Where will the unique challenges of the combined gravitational forces of the Earth and the Moon take us? Don't miss out on this opportunity to gain insights into the future of the Moon and cislunar space! For more information, you can read the debate paper here.

*Note: This event is a hybrid event with both an onsite venue and online livestreaming. Please see above for the Zoom link. Thank you for registering.
