David Geye
David Geye is a senior project engineer for space policy and strategy on the Strategic Foresight Team in the Center for Space Policy and Strategy at The Aerospace Corporation. In this role, Geye is committed to leveraging his extensive military intelligence and corporate experiences to anticipate future trends and challenges, and guide organizations toward innovative solutions and resilient futures.
Prior to joining Aerospace, Geye culminated his military career as the command chief warrant officer and senior military analyst at the U.S. Army National Ground Intelligence Center. During his military service, he applied critical intelligence analysis and foresight methodologies, led diverse teams, and facilitated strategic planning processes for numerous units and organizations. During his military retirement transition period, Geye worked with the Global Trends and Futuring Team at Ford Motor Company where his responsibilities included identifying global trends, exploring their potential implications, and disseminating futuring insights to organizations throughout the company. Geye has conducted futuring events at the University of Houston, the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF) XXV World Conference, and the WFSF Nordic Chapter Futures of Democracies Conference.
Geye earned a bachelor’s degree with a political science concentration from The Evergreen State College, and a master’s degree in foresight from the University of Houston. Geye’s awards include the Association of Professional Futurists IF Award, the Legion of Merit, and the Knowlton Award.
Geye is a member of the Association of Professional Futurists, the International Association of Strategy Professionals (IASP), the Military Intelligence Corps Association, and the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS). Geye is also an IASP certified strategic planning professional and a KCBS certified barbeque judge.
